Hilton Head Christian clinches top spot in region with 45-36 win

Deo'vonte Doe ran for two touchdowns and caught another, while Brad Meccariello ran for a score, threw for a score and had two interceptions on defense to lead Hilton Head Christian Academy to its sixth straight win, a 45-36 victory at Palmetto Christian on Friday night.

The victory clinched the SCISAA Region 2-AA title for Hilton Head Christian.

DeAngelo Clark added two rushing touchdowns on offense to go with a sack on defense for the Eagles (5-2, 3-0).

Reese Dolyniuk added two sacks on defense.

Palmetto Christian falls to 5-3, 1-2.
