A Lady's Island resident woke Thursday to find food missing from his refrigerator.

The victim reported the theft to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office after he noticed the rear door of his mobile home had been forced open, according to Sgt. Robin McIntosh. An unknown suspect took about $50 worth of frozen food overnight Wednesday before leaving the Friendship Lane home, she said.
