Seminar to cover the basics of birdwatching

The Coastal Discovery Museum will host a program for those wishing to learn more about birding. Naturalist Marvin Bouknight will present a fun and fact-filled "crash course" on the basics of birdwatching, and how to identify and find our local birds at 3 p.m. Oct. 30 at the museum, 70 Honey Horn Drive, Hilton Head Island.

The program will feature information about field guides, binoculars, places to visit and more. The program is for ages 12 and up and costs $7. Reservations are required. To attend: 843-689-6767 ext. 223
