The Nash Cottage on Duke Street in Beaufort was donated to the Historic Beaufort Foundation by a descendant of Robert Smalls. The house is being furnished to represent a modest home at the turn of the 20th century. The cottage will be open to the public this weekend during the Fall Festival of Houses and Gardens.
