Hilton Head High up to 7th in latest S.C. football poll

After stopping James Island to move to 8-0 for the first time since 1987, Hilton Head Island High School moved into a tie for seventh this week in Class 3-A in the S.C. Prep Media Football Poll.

The Seahawks (8-0, 2-0 Region 8-AAA), who are tied for seventh with Marlboro County, travel to play region foe Orangeburg-Wilkinson (6-1, 1-1) on Friday.

Beaufort High, which opened Region 8-AAAA play last Friday with a 35-27 win over country rival Bluffton, received votes in the Class 4-A rankings for the first time this season.

The Eagles (6-1, 1-0) travel to face Summerville this Friday.
