In between interviews, the office volunteers do follow-up work with the requests: calling landlords, confirming employment, and checking with utility companies to validate the need. Patient relations includes roles such as greeters, admission interviewers, appointment schedulers, document scanners and administrative assistants. Patient care volunteers include active, semi-retired or retired health care professionals, such as doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and therapists. The development department is looking for help with community fundraising and clerical needs. Translators are needed in the clinic, particularly those with fluency in Spanish.
