Four men were arrested and charged with armed robbery after being located by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office using a tracking application installed on the victim's stolen mobile phone.

Deputies say that 22-year-old Dustin Tindell was robbed at gunpoint by four black males just before 12:30 a.m. Monday morning while pumping gas at Parker's gas station on 1286 Fording Island Rd. in Bluffton.

According to Tindell, two of the four suspects were armed with handguns. After threatening to shoot him, Tindell said the suspects took his laptop computer, cell phone and wallet before getting back into their own vehicle and leaving the scene.

Tindell was unharmed and deputies were able to locate the suspects by taking advantage of a tracking application installed on Tindell's phone.

Members of the Hardeeville Police Department and the Jasper County Sheriff's Office tracked the suspects to a Walmart parking lot, where the stolen goods were identified and the suspects were arrested.

All four suspects were taken into custody without incident and charged with armed robbery.

As of Monday afternoon, all four remain in the Beaufort County Detention Center awaiting bond hearings.
