Meals on Wheels thanks groups for donations

info@islandpacket.comOctober 14, 2013

The volunteers and board of directors of Meals on Wheels Bluffton-Hilton Head would like to thank the Knights of Columbus, Bluffton United Methodist, United Way of the Lowcountry, the St. Francis Thrift Shop, and the Long Cove Club Community Endowment Fund for their generous donations this year.

Meals on Wheels Bluffton-Hilton Head will use these funds to help offset the expense of the meals and their preparations so we can continue to fulfill our primary mission of delivering meals to elderly or disabled people who are unable to prepare their own meals at home.

This year Meal on Wheels Bluffton-Hilton Head will deliver almost 25,000 meals to an average of 95 clients a day with all volunteer drivers.

Thank you again to the Knights of Columbus, Bluffton United Methodist, United Way of the Lowcountry, the St. Francis Thrift Shop and Long Cove Club Community Endowment Fund for allowing us to continue our mission of serving our friends and neighbors.
