Prep Roundup, Oct. 11: HHCA volleyball team takes down Colleton Prep

The Hilton Head Christian Academy volleyball team scored a nice non-region win Friday to boost its playoff chances, knocking down previously unbeaten Colleton Prep, 3-1.

The Eagles dropped the first game, 22-25, but came back to win the final three, 25-22, 25-20, 25-11.

Stevie DeSimone led the way for Hilton Head Christian with 28 kills and five aces. Hannah Reynolds set for 47 assists and added three kills and five aces.

Amber Hubbard (5 blocks, 4 kills), Kerry Davis (4 kills, 2 aces), Andy Anderson (29 digs, 3 kills, 4 aces), Logan Cherry (4 kills, 3 blocks) and Alyssa White (3 aces) also contributed in the win.

Hilton Head Christian (12-11) wraps up its regular season at 5 p.m. Monday, hosting Hilton Head Prep in a match that could prove crucial to the Eagles' SCISAA playoff hopes.
