Changes to the funeral arrangements for William Alexander Apps, a Beaufort native killed Oct. 3 in Charleston County while attempting to sell his truck, were announced Friday.

The service will take place at 10 a.m. Oct. 19 at the Baptist Church of Beaufort, with burial at 4 p.m. in the New Hope Cemetery in Lexsey, Ga., according to the Sauls Funeral Home website.

Friends are invited to greet the family immediately after the morning service, before leaving for burial.

The service was first scheduled for 10 a.m. the same day at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Bluffton.
