The Hilton Head Island chapter of the PGA is hosting a golf forum entitled Health and Fitness from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the Belfair Plantation Clubhouse.

The forum is one of four a year addressing different topics, such as teaching, technology, fitness, etc.

The forum is open to the public and they are encouraged to attend. The cost of $10 per person or $15 for two. KIds under 18 are free. All attendees must register prior to the event.

The forum, which benefits the Folds of Honor foundation, includes a panel of three experts to discuss the chosen topic of the night. This panel includes Chris Tremblay, Justin Price and Mike Damaria.

JPGA HAS THREE WINNERS AT HURRICANE EVENT

Players from Hilton Head Island's Junior Players Golf Academy won three of the four divisions at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour's South Georgia Junior Classic this past weekend at the Pine Lakes course at Jekyll Island, Ga.

JPGA's Toks Pedro won the Boys 15-18 Division, while classmate Anita Uwadia won the Girls 15-18 Division. In the Girls 11-14 Division, JPGA student Dylaney Day edged Bluffton's Sophie Guo in a playoff.

HOLE-IN-ONE

  • Sue Palmese hit a hole-in-one Oct. 5 on the sixth hole at Argent Lakes Golf Club. She used a 5-wood. Witnesses were Barbara Aasheim and Marge Sieban.
