The team won all three games it played on Sunday, with the championship game decided in extra innings.

The victory gives the Coastal Thunder an invitation to the 2014 Global World Series, which will be held next summer.

Members of the Coastal Thunder are: Noah Glover, Hunter Julseth, JJ Mlodzinski, Henry Pitts, Jameson Rice, Jake Roberts, Aiden Sanz, Enzo Saritelli, Brennan Studenc, Cody Wan and Myles Williams. Their head coach is John Saritelli, with assistant coaches Mike Sanz, Andrew Rice and Scott Studenc.

The Beaufort Rowing Club has openings for individuals interested in learning to sweep row in eight- or four-oared shells.

The Club offers various methods of training for beginner, novice and experienced rowers. There is a weekly Wednesday morning training session. Also, a local coach and competitive rower has offered to train individuals or small groups. In mid-November, a professional training organization will be coming to Beaufort for a full day of training for sweep or sculling.
