North Carolina artist Allison Luce works with Bluffton High students Oct. 8, 2013, during teacher Tim Holsinger's ceramics class. Luce is part of the 2013 Public Art Exhibition educational outreach, which brings artist residencies to six Beaufort County schools. The program is provided by the Island School Council for the Arts, in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry. Luce will work with students at Bluffton High to create 300 textured tiles for a Lowcountry-themed wall installation to be placed at the entrance to the school's arts wing in November.
