Congregation Beth Yam to host annual series of satellite presentations

Congregation Beth Yam is set to begin its annual fall series of six live satellite presentations. "Live from New York's 92nd Street Y" is now in its 11th year of presenting educational and cultural programming to community organizations across America.

This season's series will be launched at 8 p.m Oct. 23 with the live exchange, "Full Court Press: Inside the Bush and Obama White Houses." It will include conversations with the two men who gave voice to America's last two presidents â€" Roberts Gibbs and Ari Fleisher with Ben Feller. A night of stories and reflection about the nation's leadership can be expected.

Future presentations will include defense lawyer Alan Dershowitz and author Jeffrey Toobin on Nov. 4; a conversation with Jeb Bush on Nov. 18; "The Tragedy and Triumph of Israel," featuring Ari Shavit with David Remnick on Nov. 19; Howard Gardner on the "App Generation," on Dec. 9; and "What Does it mean to be Pro-Israel in America today," with lawyer Jeremy Ben-Ami and author and news analyst Jeffrey Toobin on Dec. 16.

The broadcasts will be shown at Congregation Beth Yam. Tickets for single broadcasts are $10 for Congregation Beth Yam members and $15 for nonmembers. Registration is required.
