Concert to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Hilton Head

Musicians practicing for the "Harmonies for Habitat" Fundraiser Concert are Pete Sencevicky (bass), Roger Lytle (piano), Carole Galli (vocalist), and Cheryl Duren (vocalist).


The second annual "Harmonies for Habitat" concert to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Hilton Head Island will be at 3 p.m. Oct. 13 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 3001 Meeting St., Hilton Head Island.

Nine local musicians will perform 90 minutes of jazz and Broadway favorites. The concert will feature the music of Johnny Mercer, Irving Berlin and George Gershwin. Vocalists for the concert will be Cheryl Duren, Jacqueline Fesq, Carole Galli and Linda Insetta. Instrumentalists include Jonathan Davis and Roger Lytle (piano), Dick Fithian (trumpet), Steve Ryden (saxophone) and Pete Sencevicky (bass).

Tickets are $20 and are available at Burkes Pharmacy, the Habitat Restore, and the Habitat office at 21 Brendan Lane in Bluffton. The proceeds will help build a new home in The Glen, a new community of affordable housing that Habitat is planning to build on Hilton Head Island.
