The ninth annual Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival will take place Oct. 13 through Oct. 20 with events in Old Town Bluffton.
The festival will begin with an outdoor art show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct 13 on Calhoun Street, which will be followed by the traditional blessing of the fleet and boat parade on the May River. The day will end with an oyster roast at Bluffton Oyster Park.
Other events during the week include a tour of the Waddell Mariculture Center with crab picking and oyster shucking demonstrations at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 14; Author Night with New York Times best-selling author Patti Callahan Henry and author Susan Rebecca White from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 16 at Oscar Frazier Park; daily May River kayak and boat tours; a 5K run; and paddleboard and kayak races on Oct. 20.
The outdoor street festival and juried artist show and market is Oct. 19 and Oct. 20 on Calhoun Street.
