Weichert welcomes McGrath to team Realtor Kathy McGrath recently joined the Weichert, Realtors-Coastal Properties sales team. Paige Rose joins development group Paige Rose recently joined Performance Development Corporation, a Hilton Head Island headquartered Web development company. Rose joins the sales and marketing team and responsibilities will include customer relations, product fulfillment and new client acquisitions. Rose recently worked for the Richardson Group in real estate and marketing

• Resort Rentals of Hilton Head Island and Hilton Head Vacation Rentals, two longtime Hilton Head Island vacation rental companies, will combine more than 500 properties into one enterprise starting Jan. 1. Executives from both firms said the merger will give the new company more of a presence throughout the island. The new management company will compete with larger firms such as Island Getaway and ResortQuest, Wood said. The merging companies will keep their names and separate websites, according to a news release. The combined inventory will be displayed on both websites, the release said.

• Members of J Banks Design, a Hilton Head Island design firm, took home six Excellence in Design Awards at the American Society of Interior Designers Carolinas Chapter Fall Conference. J Banks owner and president Joni Vanderslice also was awarded the Dora Gray Award for Outstanding Designer of the Year. J Banks is located at 35 Main St., Hilton Head. Awards included: First place in the residential over 3,500 square feet category for the Hillery Residence; first place in the multi-unit residence category for Sant' Antonio Villas at Castello di Casole; Second place in the vacation/second home category for their work with the Guarisco Residence; honorable mention in the residential Under 3,500 square feet category for the Villa Scuola at Castello di Casole; honorable mention in the residential over 3,500 square feet category for the Grider Residence; honorable mention in the hospitality project category for Hotel Castello di Casole.

• The Greenery Garden Center, located at 960 William Hilton Parkway, will offer free gardening seminars this month. Reservations are encouraged.
