Hilton Head Prep goes back to basics, tops Calhoun Academy 39-21

After a troubling 41-17 loss at the hands of Northwood Academy last week, Hilton Head Prep got back on the right track on Friday night, stopping Calhoun Academy on the road, 39-21.

The Dolphins (3-3) did it by going back to the basics.

"We ran the ball very well. We didn't pass very much, but when we did it was very effective," Hilton Head Prep coach Kevin Wald said. "We went back to the basics of blocking and tackling, and we did a much better job this week."

Wald was happy the Dolphins came out of the game healthy.

'We had six guys out tonight," Wald said. "They should all be back next week for the Thomas Heyward game."

Teron Daley ran for two touchdowns, while quarterback Tyler Fox connected twice with wide receiver for scores.

Collin White helped to keep the Cavaliers on their own end of the field with several touchbacks on kickoffs.

Calhoun Academy falls to 3-3.
