Hold men accountable in pregnancy equation

info@islandpacket.comOctober 1, 2013

We often see letters about women who have gotten pregnant. Usually legislation, passed by a group (largely comprising men), determines when, where and if a woman can decide what to do about a pregnancy.

I have never seen legislation that determines what should be done about the men who impregnate the women. Until it becomes a crime to impregnate a woman (other than one's wife), we must stop making pregnancy decisions for women.

It takes two to become pregnant. It should be two who deal with the consequences.
