More improvements are coming to Laurel Bay housing, and they will be announced Friday at a celebration in the housing community for personnel at Beaufort County's three military installations.

Lend Lease, the developer for the upcoming project, will make the announcement at 4 p.m., along with a celebration honoring 10 years of privatized housing and community improvements at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, Naval Hospital Beaufort and Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, according to a news release.

During the event, Lend Lease will make an announcement about a new community improvement at Laurel Bay, the release said.

The celebration will be on Laurel Bay at 1371 Cardinal Lane.
