MACTOWER

The last time Beaufort Academy faced Charleston Collegiate, the Eagles didn't fare well, falling 72-8 last season.

Beaufort Academy was vastly improved this time around, but the end result was the same as the Eagles fell 50-36 to the Sun Devils on the road at Johns Island.

Reyn Robinson rushed for 232 and two touchdowns and totaled 374 all-purpose yards, including a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Quarterback Clay Melville added a rushing touchdown, while Jack Dailey hauled in a halfback pass from Robinson for a a score, as well.

Beaufort Academy spent much of their time trying to stop dual-threat quarterback Manny Smalls.

"We held him at bay, we were up 28-20 at the half," Eagles coach Brock Vaigneur said. "It didn't go our way in the second half."

The Eagles fall to 3-2.
