Winners from 'Death By Chocolate' Girl Scouts fundraiser

The "Death by Chocolate, A Chocolate and Champagne Affair" fundraiser was held Sept. 26 at the Hilton Head Island Beach and Tennis Resort. The annual event benefits Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina.

Area restaurants prepared chocolate dishes for competition. Here are the winners in each category:

Judge's Choice: Heyward's Restaurant at Sonesta Resort

Dish: Red velvet cupcakes with chocolate-covered bacon

Best Presentation: Heyward's Restaurant at Sonesta Resort

Dish: Red velvet cupcakes with chocolate-covered bacon

Most Original: Neo

Dish: Smoked bacon, dark chocolate and goat cheese mousse with chocolate-infused vodka

Goes well with champagne: Watusi

Dish: Chocolate cheesecake with Oreo crust

Sinful but wholesome: The Sweet Frog

Dish: Thin Mint nonfat frozen yogurt

People's Choice: Marleys Island Grille

Dish: Key Lime tiramisu and sweet chili shrimp
