GIRLS TENNIS

Hilton Head Prep 9, Pinewood Prep 0: The Dolphins (9-0, 6-0 SCISAA Region 3-AAA) increases its unbeaten streak to 23 with a win over Pinewood Prep. Hilton Head Prep next plays at 4 p.m. Thursday at Ashley Hall in Charleston.

Singles: 1. Sydnee Wheeler (HHP) def. Hayleigh Dodge 6-0, 6-0; 2. Taylor Childress (HHP) def. Sarah Kochis 6-0, 6-0; 3. Catie Meighan (HHP) def. Sarah Banks Tapp 6-0, 6-0; 4. Katie Rankin (HHP) def. Hannah Rodgers 6-1, 6-0; 5. Samantha Kriney (HHP) def. Emilee Martichenko 6-3, 6-1; 6. Cori Leonard (HHP) def. Abbey Martichenko 6-3, 6-3.

VOLLEYBALL

Porter-Gaud 3, Hilton Head Christian 0: The Eagles (7-9) lost in straight sets 25-11, 25-16, 25-11.

Stevie Desimone led the was for HHCA with 14 kills, while Hannah Reynolds added 24 assists and an ace. Logan Cherry, pulled up from JV, had two blocks and a kill.

Hilton Head Christian on Monday hosts Beaufort Academy and plays at Hilton Head Prep on Tuesday.

Thomas Heyward Academy 3, Beaufort Academy 1: The Rebels won 25-15, 25-15, 19-25, 25-19 to improve to 5-6, 3-1 Region 1-AA.

Top Thomas Heyward contributors included Victoria Quick (five kills, an ace, eight assists, 12 digs), Hailey Malphrus (four aces, 11 assists, 12 digs), Jamie Davis (11 assists), Haylee Wade (eight aces and eight digs) and Shelby Vest (11 kills and three aces).

The Rebels play at 5 p.m. Monday at Colleton Prep. Beaufort Academy falls to 4-4.

Whale Branch 2, Bowman 0; Whale Branch 2, Allendale-Fairfax 1: The Warriors swept a tri-match, beating Bowman 25-16, 25-23 and Allendale-Fairfax 25-18, 26-28, 25-23.

Against Bowman, the Warriors were led by Shay Jiles (five aces, four kills), Rietta Salters (three kills, five aces), Shaniqua Johnson (three kills, three aces and two blocks), Kemoni Jenkins (five kills, four aces and two blocks), Olivia Walker (three kills, two aces and two blocks), Jonae Riley (five kills and four aces) and Dasia Wilson (two kills).

Against Allendale-Fairfax, the Warriors were led by Jiles (four aces, three kills), Salters (four kills, seven aces and five digs), Johnson (four kills, three aces and two blocks), Jenkins (eight kills, seven aces, two blocks and three digs), Walker (four kills, four aces and two blocks), Riley (six kills and three aces) and Myra Garcia (four digs).

Bishop England 2, Battery Creek 0; Battery Creek 2, Ridgeland-Hardeeville 0: The Dolphins (5-4, 4-3 Region 6-AA) fell to Bishop England 25-2, 25-7 and defeated Ridgeland-Hardeeville 25-7, 25-9 at Bishop England.

Bluffton High School: The Bobcats played a tri-match for the second straight night, and once again came away with a pair of wins, defeating Ashley Ridge (25-10, 25-22) and Charleston Math & Science (25-7, 25-6).

The victories improve Bluffton to 16-7 overall and 3-0 in Region 8-AAAA.

The Bobcats host another tri-match Tuesday, facing region foes Colleton County and Beaufort High.

Middle School: St. Francis def. Hilton Head Prep 25-16, 25-20; St. Francis def. Hilton Head Prep 25-20, 25-15
