No injuries were reported after a school bus was involved in a minor wreck on Buck Island Road at the entrance to the Westbury Park neighborhood.

A Beaufort County School District bus was involved in a minor wreck Wednesday on Buck Island Road as it was taking students home from school.

The bus was turning left into Westbury Park from Buck Island Road at about 3:15 p.m. when a blue pickup truck turning left struck the back of it, district spokesman Jim Foster said.

None of the 30 students from Bluffton Middle and H.E. McCracken Middle school on the bus was injured, he said. A second bus was sent to finish the route, and the students were about 30 minutes late getting home, Foster added.

"We're all good here; just a little fender-bender," said Pat Freda, Bluffton Middle School principal.

The S.C. Highway Patrol, which is in charge of investigating the accident, could not be reached for comment.
