Ben Vaigneur connected with Stephen Baggett for two touchdowns and ran for another, and Brady Cormier kicked a school-record 53-yard field goal to lead Beaufort High over Cane Bay, 27-21, to improve to 4-0.

Vaigneur scored on a 10-yard run on the game's second series after a 30-yard completion to Da'Quan Cason. The Eagles' next score was on a 10-yard pass to Baggett.

Beaufort coach Mark Clifford said the Eagles' defense tightened up in the third quarter and began to force turnovers. Jason Senn and Jordan Clegg each had interceptions.

Cormier's field goal bested the Eagles' previous record kick of 52 yards by Mitchell Stewart in 2010. Cormier also had a 40-yard field goal in the game.

Cane Bay falls to 0-4.
