Yuneek Crittendon rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns, and Tyrone Dilbert added 85 yards and a touchdown on the ground to lead Battery Creek to a 42-6 win over Garrett Academy Tech in the Dolphins' Region 6-AA opener in Charleston.

After leading 21-6 at the half, the Dolphins came out and fumbled inside their own 20 on their first two drives. But the defense held both times, and Crittendon and Dilbert chewed up clock and Battery Creek rolled to the win.

"They both had great second halves and put the game out of reach," Battery Creek coach Jim Shuman said.

Josh Roerst also rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown.

On defense, Jason Green led the Dolphins with 13 tackles, Isaiah Sloan had nine and Tyon Brunson had four tackles and a fumble recovery. Raheem Cooper forced two fumbles.

"Coming off the tough loss at Hilton Head, our guys played a complete game," Shuman said. "It's a good way to start our region schedule."
