Hilton Head Island will play on TV on Thursday; Hilton Head Prep moves game up to 4:30 p.m. Friday

Kickoff times have been shuffled for two of this week's area football games.

First, Hilton Head Island High's home game against Wade Hampton was moved to Thursday before the season started.

The game will be broadcast by WSAV-TV. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. and kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. WSAV sports director Ken Slats will handle play-by-play duties.

The game will be re-broadcast at 10 a.m. Sunday morning.

The Seahawks are off to a 3-0 start.


Also, Hilton Head Prep has moved its game Friday to 4:30 p.m. The Dolphins host Palmetto Christian.

According to Hilton Head Prep athletics director Rich Basirico, the school, which does not have lights at its football field, was worried about having enough daylight to complete the game.

James Island at Bluffton, 7:30 p.m.

Northwood Academy at Hilton Head Christian, 7 p.m.

Palmetto Christian at Hilton Head Prep, 4:30 p.m.

Robert E. Lee at Thomas Heyward Academy, 7:30 p.m.
