Reid, Shuker reach finals again in Hilton Head wheelchair tennis tournament

Gordon Reid will be going for yet another title in the PTR Wheelchair Championships on Hilton Head Island.

Fourth-seeded Marc McCarroll knocked off No. 2 seed Miki Takuya on Saturday in the PTR $17,500 Wheelchair Tennis Championships on Hilton Head Island, advancing to the championship match in the Men's Open Singles division.

In Sunday's final, McCarroll will face four-time defending champion Gordon Reid, who dominated his semifinal against Lahcen Majdi, winning 6-1, 6-2.

In the Women's Open division, it will be 1 vs. 2 on Sunday for the title. Defending champion and top-seeded Lucy Shuker only dropped two games in her semifinal matchup. Second-seeded Jordanne Whiley didn't have much more trouble in her's, topping fourth-seeded Emmy Kaiser, 6-2, 6-2. Whiley will try to deny Shuker her fourth title in five years.

Play continues at 9 a.m. Sunday at the Chaplin Park and Hilton Head Island Motorcoach courts.
