Where to fish when you don't have a boat

info@islandpacket.comSeptember 6, 2013

So you want to go fishing, but don't have access to a pond or a boat?

The S.C. Department of Natural Resources has new web pages that list spots for bank and pier fishing around the state.

Go to dnr.sc.gov/lakes/access.html and search by county.

Access to the fishing sites is free, but some sites may have certain restrictions, a DNR news release said.

The Island Packet is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
