Obama should keep his feet off furniture

info@islandpacket.comSeptember 6, 2013

The Sept. 4 edition of USA Today shows a picture of President Barack Obama, talking to House Speaker John Boehner, with his foot on the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.

This is not the first time we have seen such disrespectful, feet-on-the-furniture behavior from the current occupant of the "people's house." I don't know whether it's ignorance or arrogance, but I wish someone would explain to him that the furniture in the White House does not belong to him. He's only allowed to use it for a while.

I don't care what he does in his home in front of his children, but his conduct is an embarrassing example for everyone else's children.
