Hilton Head Prep 5, Pinewood Prep 4: Though the streak nearly ended Thursday, the Dolphins remain undefeated since the 2011 state finals.

Hilton Head Prep (3-0, 1-0 SCISAA Region 3-AAA) plays its next match at home at the Sea Pines Racquet Club at 4 p.m. Tuesday against Porter Gaud of Charleston.

Beaufort Academy 6, Colleton Prep 3: The Eagles (1-2) earned their first win of the season. They host Bluffton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Hilton Head Island High 3, Beaufort High 0: The Seahawks notched 21 aces as a team while sweeping the Eagles, 25-17, 25-14, 25-9.

Blair Daber led the way with nine aces. Mallory Lewis added six aces, four kills and two blocks, and Sierra Davis had seven kills and a block. Renee Homad set for 19 assists for the Seahawks (2-0), who play in Savannah on Monday

JV: Hilton Head High 2, Beaufort High 0

Whale Branch 3, Battery Creek 2: The Warriors won a five-setter, 25-23, 25-15, 17-25, 19-25, 15-10.

Battery Creek (0-2) was led in defeat by Cecillia Williams (13 kills and eight blocks) and La'Schirrae Morrall (11 kills, nine blocks and two assists).

Shelby Puckett added five aces and a kill, while Autumn Gravel had nine aces. Taniellia Leak had four aces, six kills and a block.

Battery Creek next plays at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at Garrett Tech.
