A roundup of Wednesday's high school sports action involving area teams:

GIRLS TENNIS

Hilton Head Christian 9, Pinewood Prep 0: The sweep marked two firsts for the Eagles (2-0): their first 2-0 conference start and their first sweep of Pinewood Prep.

"It's a good start to the year," Hilton Head Island coach Eric Wammock said.

The Eagles next play at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bluffton.

VOLLEYBALL

Bluffton 2, Savannah Christian 1; Glynn Academy 2, Bluffton 0: The Bobcats (1-1) split a tri-match against Georgia schools, knocking off Savannah Christian 25-22, 13-25, 25-22 before losing 23-25, 19-25 to Glynn Academy.

Bluffton next plays Lovett at 6 p.m. Friday in the opener of the Lovett Block Party Tournament in Atlanta. The tournament runs through Saturday.
