Palmetto Clean Bins to start local service soon

A Beaufort company will offer services to clean customers' residential trash and recycling bins, as well as condominium trash containers, starting Oct. 1.

Palmetto Clean Bins will offer curbside service. It uses self-contained cleaning units that collect all chemicals and wastewater, so there is no runoff into stormwater systems or the environment, according to a letter to customers by founder and president Robert Williams. The wastewater is disposed of at a locally approved water-treatment facility, Williams' letter said.

The company will serve customers throughout the Lowcountry, according to a company news release.
