Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hastings Miller

Frances Hadley Puntereri and Douglas Hastings Miller were married on June 8, 2013, at four o'clock in the afternoon at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, with the Reverend Greg Kronz officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marc Anthony Puntereri of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Anthony Joseph Puntereri, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Franklin David Hoffman of Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Frank John Miller and the late Mr. Miller of Scarsdale, New York and the grandson of Mrs. Frank Miller of Pompton Plains, New Jersey, and the late Mr. Miller, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Louis Hastings of Bay Shore, New York.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Mrs. Miller was the tenth bride over four generations to wear the family's heirloom Brussels lace veil. Cooper Puntereri Collier, the bride's sister, of San Francisco, California, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included the bride's sister-in-law, Maria Rose Puntereri of London, England; the groom's sisters, Courtney Miller DiMiero of Scarsdale, New York and Claire Miller Hare of New York, New York. Also serving as bridesmaids were Chelsea Kirkpatrick Boughan of Boston, Massachusetts; Bliss Bowlin Campbell of New York, New York; Erin Kromis Connolly of Atlanta, Georgia; Allison Pamela Ford of Atlanta, Georgia; Jessica Giles Gray of Greenville, South Carolina; Melissa Georgina Blair Lawrence of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Micaela de Cardenas Lumpkin of Newport Beach, California; Courtney Crunk McIntosh of Arlington, Virginia; Ashley Elizabeth Peters of San Diego, California; Virginia Stinson Radcliff of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Alden Elizabeth Ramsey of Richmond, Virginia; Ellen Quinlan Ryan of New York, New York; Grace Savage of Los Angeles, California; and Rebecca Logue Thomson of London, England. The flower girl was Marion Rose Puntereri, the bride's niece.

Robert Joseph Lynch, III of San Francisco, California served as best man. The groomsmen included the groom's brothers-in-law, Andrew Lupe DiMiero of Scarsdale, New York, and Stephen Jeffrey Hare of New York, New York; the bride's brother, Bailey McMahan Puntereri of London, England, and brother-in-law, Nathaniel Thomas Collier of San Francisco, California. Also serving as groomsmen were Philip Michael Hogan, Seth Orley Lax, and Timothy Cordell McCabe, all of New York, New York. The ring bearer was Ted Hastings DiMiero, nephew of the groom.

Mrs. Miller, a graduate of Hilton Head Preparatory School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in History at the University of Virginia. She is currently Associate Vice President, Mobile Project Manager of Christie's Inc. of New York.

Mr. Miller is a graduate of Scarsdale High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Political Science at Lehigh University. He is currently the Senior Domestic and International Trader at the hedge fund Steadfast Financial in New York, New York.

Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held in Sea Pines Plantation on the Lawn at the Eighteenth in Harbour Town. After a wedding trip to Africa, the couple is residing in New York, New York.
