Prep notebook, Aug. 30: Battery Creek hosting community night

sports@islandpacket.comAugust 30, 2013

Battery Creek High School will play host to a Community Pride Night on Sept. 6 when the Dolphins' football team plays Whale Branch Early College High School.

The school plans a community pride area and is looking for vendors, sports teams, nonprofit organizations and clubs to set up booths. Vendors will have the option of selling items for a nominal fee, passing out educational or marketing materials or hosting activities.

There will be no set-up charge for athletics department sponsors and a $25 fee for all other vendors, payable to the Battery Creek athletic booster club.

Athletic department sponsors receive a stadium banner that remains in athletics facilities for the duration of the academic year. Sponsorship is $350 for the first academic year, then reduced to $250 the following academic year.

Tickets for the Battery Creek-Whale Branch game will be $8 at the gate. Tickets purchased Tuesday and Wednesday are $6 and $7 on Thursday and Friday.

Battery Creek season tickets are half price through Friday.

Half-price tickets are $40 for adults, $25 for students and $8 for elementary students. Two-for-one ticket sales will be held Sept. 2-6 and are $80 for adults, $50 for students and $15 for elementary students.

All season tickets and reduced-priced tickets may be purchased through Battery Creek athletics director John Drafts.
