The Savannah National Wildlife Refuge has changed the hours of its visitor center on U.S. 17, seven miles south of Hardeeville, because of staff and budget reductions.

The center will now be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, according to the refuge. The rest of the refuge, including the Laurel Hill Wildlife Drive, will continue to be open from sunrise to sunset seven days a week.

Information: Call the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge at 843-784-2468 or go to www.fws.gov/savannah.
