Military honors

  • Maj. John Michael Insetta has graduated from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks in Carlisle, Pa. He also has earned a master's degree in strategic studies.

  • The college's 10-month curriculum is designed to prepare officers of all U.S. military branches of service to serve in top-level command and staff positions with the U.S. Armed Forces worldwide.

    Insetta is a future-plans officer assigned to the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. He also earned a master's degree this year from Central Michigan University.

    He has served 22 years and is the son of Linda Insetta of Hilton Head Island.
