Recreation Brief, Aug. 25: Former Giants assistant GM to speak at club meeting

Former New York Giants assistant general manager Richard Donohue will be the guest speaker for the next monthly meeting of the Athletic Club of the Lowcountry on Monday, Sept. 9.

Before working for the Giants, Donohue spent many years coaching at the high school and college levels, including stops at Michigan State, Columbia University, the Merchant Marine Academy and CW Post.

The meeting, at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church on Buckwalter Parkway in Bluffton, will begin at 6:15 p.m. with complimentary refreshments. The general meeting and guest speaker will follow at 7 p.m.

There will be no guest fee for this meeting. Anyone joining the club in September will get the rest of 2013 and all of 2014 for the yearly rate of $30.
