Museum to host session on native plants

The Coastal Discovery Museum will host a forum on native plants at 3 p.m. Sept. 16.

Botanist Daniel Payne has documented more than 1,600 native or naturalized species in Beaufort County. Payne will speak on the best native plants for gardens, and attendees can bring samples or pictures of plants for him to identify.

The session will be at the museum at 70 Honey Horn Drive on Hilton Head Island.

Cost is $7 per person. Reservations are required.
