Voter photo-ID session Saturday

info@islandpacket.comAugust 21, 2013

Those who wish to obtain a voter photo identification card can do so from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. Helena Island library.

South Carolina has adopted a law that requires all registered voters to present one of five types of photo IDs when voting. Those who don't have a driver's license or other type of photo ID, can obtain a voter ID card from the Saturday session.

Photo IDs can also be obtained at one of the Beaufort County elections offices, at 15 John Galt Road in Beaufort or at 61-B Ulmer Road in Bluffton.

Details: go to www.bcgov.net/vote or call 843-255-6900.
