Thank you to all for attending celebration for 'Yostie'

The dedication for "Yostie" Ashley's future memorial at Coligny Plaza on July 27 was certainly a heartfelt celebration of the things in life that meant so much to her.

Her family and closest friends planned the program so beautifully and presented their special memories and live music.

Her storytelling and puppetry buddies gave us a taste of their endless talents for an afternoon of wonderful entertainment.

The fun-loving children came with the eagerness and delight that always spurred Yostie to enviable heights of magical creativity.

Her fans of all ages took dozens of Yostie's own puppets to their new homes with a donation to the granite and bronze memorial. Soon, it will be erected as a testimony to Yostie's sparkling, love-filled way of illustrating how we, too, can make the world shine around us.

Newcomers will just enjoy reading her story on the plaque, but we who knew Barb Ashley will treasure the imprints of her joyous spirit forever on our hearts.
