What's on business' TV not life-changing issue

info@islandpacket.comAugust 16, 2013

This is in response to the Aug. 14 letter "Many people don't want forced viewing of Fox."

I understand and agree that news is "a fairy tale with hateful endings." However, there are a few differences in our views. First, I perceive MSNBC and CNN as the fairy-tale tellers and find Fox News to have a more balanced presentation.

Second, and the most important difference, I do not feel the need to bully or exhort others into accepting my viewing preferences. I make decisions about merchants based on quality of service, product and cost, not on the color of the waiting room couch, pattern in the wallpaper or what they choose to have on the waiting room TV.

The next time you have to wait 15 to 20 minutes with Fox News in the background, instead of getting your tail feathers all ruffled, play a game of Angry Birds on your cellphone. Take a deep breathe and try to keep things in perspective.
