Two local Staples stores are participating in the 6th annual Staples for Students National School Supply Drive, which is in cooperation with teen actor Jake T. Austin. Donations will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry.

Supplies and money can be donated at the Staples at 11 Robert Smalls Parkway, Beaufort, and 11 Palmetto Bay Road, Hilton Head Island, through Sept. 28.

Staples also made a $125,000 donation in July to kick off the drive, according to a release, and 100 percent of proceeds will go to the Boys & Girls CLubs of America.

Since 2008, the drive has raised almost $3 million for hundreds of thousands of students throughout the county.
