Michael Raymond will seek a second term in November's nonpartisan Bluffton Town Council election.

Raymond, first elected to council in 2009, was the only candidate as of 3 p.m. Monday who has filed to be placed on the Nov. 5 ballot.

Mayor Pro-Tem Oliver Brown is also up for re-election. An attempt to reach him Monday afternoon was unsuccessful.

Filing for the two at-large seats opened at noon Aug. 7 and closes at noon Sept. 6.

Those wishing to be placed on the ballot can file at Town Hall at 20 Bridge Street. The filing fee is $100. Each candidate also must file a South Carolina Ethics Commission statement of economic interests form electronically. Details: Contact the Bluffton town clerk at 843-706-4502.

Anyone planning to vote in the November election must register to do no later than Oct. 5.
