Three reasons to be excited about the start of school:

1. The Ladies and Gentlemen's Club will be introduced at Whale Branch Elementary School to those in third and fourth grade. Founded by Stephen and Angela Peters of the nationally known Peters Group, the clubs are designed to provide opportunities for participants to enhance self-esteem and self-image.

2. Whale Branch Elementary School will implement a "Parents as Partners Honor Roll," designed to increase parental involvement at the school level. Parents will be recognized each quarter for their efforts in helping their children become better students.

3. The school will start the year with a new vision statement.
