Mexican drug cartels topic of council's talk

The World Affairs Council of Hilton Head will host a talk by Lawrence McElynn, chief judge of the Summary Court of Beaufort County, at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the community room at TidePointe, off Point Comfort Road.

Before being appointed a judge, McElynn served for 30 years as a special agent with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. He will speak of his experience and give updates on the operation of drug cartels within the United States and globally.
