A state clinic in Ridgeland has been added to a list of other area clinics offering free "Tdap" immunization shots new state regulations require for rising seventh-graders.
The Jasper County offices of the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control, located in the Palmetto Electric offices at 4063 Grays Highway in Ridgeland, will offer free shots for walk-ins between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 17.
DHEC's Beaufort office at 601 Wilmington Street will offer free Tdap booster shots (with or without appointments) from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Saturday.

DHEC's Bluffton office at 4819 Bluffton Parkway will accept walk-ins for Tdap booster shots at a cost of $13 per shot ($25 for adults) from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15.
In addition to immunization services provided by DHEC, children can also get booster shots from their family physicians.
