Heritage Library to host David Lauderdale talk

David Lauderdale, columnist for The Island Packet and The Beaufort Gazette, will speak at a Hilton Head Island 350/30 Celebration event at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19.

The Heritage Library, located mid-island on William Hilton Parkway, will host a wine reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. Lauderdale's talk, "Writing New Chapters in a Very Old Book," will begin at 6 p.m.

A dinner will follow nearby at 7:15 p.m. at Hugo's Seafood and Steakhouse.

Tickets for the talk range from $15 to $30 depending on membership. Dinner costs $25 per person.
