Bluffton Elks grateful for golf equipment donations for Marines

letters@islandpacket.comAugust 5, 2013

Thanks to all those in the community who contributed used golf equipment, in good condition, to the Bluffton Elks, Lodge 2773, for their ongoing project with the Marines on Parris Island.

The program, instructing Marines in the game of golf, is a six-week program headed by the golf pro at the base. At the completion of the course, clubs, balls, tees and bags are distributed to the Marines who complete the program.

The Elks are continuing to collect equipment and anyone interested in donating to this project can call me at 843-757-7918.
