Recreation Brief, Aug. 4: Fins, H2A swim at Long Course state meet

The Fins Swim Team and Hilton Head Aquatics participated in the South Carolina Long Course state championship last weekend at the University of South Carolina Natatorium in Columbia.

Hilton Head Aquatics' girls team finished fifth in the team standings, while the Fins were 11th. The boys teams were the exact opposite, with the Fins placing fifth and H2A finishing 11th.

Y-Spartaquatics Swim Club, with 161 team members participating, took first place in both boys and girls.

The Fins' Danielle Faciszewski, 17, was the top point scorer in the 15-and-over girls division. John Evans finished second overall in the 15-and-over boys division.

Chloe Corbitt led the way for Hilton Head Aquatics, as she finished with the top point total in the girls 11-12 division.
